Mike Smith

Mike has been in the ministry for almost 25 years – much of that time in the Uniting Church.  He believes most people keep their light under a bushel – and he hates bushels!  

 He is the risk specialist and a manager at FutureProfit – a financial, property services and accounting firm.  His passion – to help people make their visions a reality - is served as well in his business as in his ministry.  Sally is his wonderful wife, and three sons round out his life.

Some would call him our Senior Pastor.  Others use more colourful names.  His pastoral credentials are held through the Crosslink Christian Network.

 Jane Hooper

Jane is one of those super competant people who conducts her own music studio, supports an entrepreneurial husband, raises three fantastic kids, networks the mums in her suburb and makes the time to look after the childrens ministry at Oasis. 

Her deep desire is to build a ministry BY the kids - not TO the kids.  If you want your children equipped for age appropriate evangelism, prayer and social action, Jane is the guru.     top

Jess Collins  

Jess is the resident mother hen.  Not bad for someone 20 years old.  She keeps our communications happening, and is the point of contact for most of us for most things.  Her big dream is to build a network of smaller groups and home gatherings that allow people to really connect with one another.  Out of that she is sure we will all find a deeper relationship with God, a more satisfying spitrituality and a bucket of fun.

Isaac Smith

Isaac is working with us to develop our corporate influence.  He is developing the foundation that we will use to increase our capacity to support charitable work, community development, evangelism, etc over the next couple of years. 

Currently employee of the year for WPS Financial Services, he is their Queensland Finance Manager.  He plans to be out of Australia before the end of this year to start exploring where the foundation can be most useful.   top

Cassie Ryan

Cass looks after our worship.  Her goal in life is to make sure that whenever you come to the Oasis, you experience God in ways that are real, practical and potent.   If you have a musical or creative gift that needs to be expressed, contact her.  She is always looking for people whose vision for themselves includes the arts and/or music. 

She is an early childhood teacher at Sheldon College - one of the leading schools in the Redlands.  She also leads groups in the Alpha program for people who want to find out more about Jesus.

Roger Hooper 

Roger looks after the prayer ministry when we are together on Sundays.  He has a wealth of pastoral and prayer experience and has served as one of the "go to" guys when prayer ministry has been needed in a number of churches. 

Roger is a qualified engineer, a recruitment consultant by day and an international options and futures trader by night.   He is the type of person who has a "200 year plan", and will invest the time, energy and passion to see it ready to hand on to the next generation.
